Rehabilitation Gaming: Neverball adaptation -Summer project of undergraduate ODCSSS student Nanthana Trakarnratanakul, collaboration between the School of Computer Science and the School of Physiotherapy at UCD. -Adapted the open-source game Neverball for use with the Xsens inertial sensing system. -The Xsens unit is mounted on a wobble board, which then becomes the game's input: it controls the tilt of the game "world", which in turn causes the ball to roll around. The object of the game is to collect coins. -The
wobble-board adaptation provides an attractive incentive for performing
theraputic exercise. Using the wobble board promotes balance and core
strength.
